A renovation and extension that brought a modern architectural design into an existing 60-year-old home. The project involved complex site conditions, upgraded screw piles, stormwater and easement considerations, strict covenants and height restrictions, and upgrades to existing services.
Standout features include high cathedral ceilings, large highlight windows and bifold doors opening onto the outdoor area, along with high-end finishes such as built-in stone shower seats, round brick columns, recessed window cladding with obtuse angles and a flowing eave design. The project also incorporated climate control across the new and existing areas and a 20,000-litre underground water tank servicing the landscaped grounds.
